Starlan Wayne Boone, age 69, of Plum Branch, passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, 2024 at Blue Ridge Regional Hospital.
A native of Yancey County, he was the son of the late Starlan and Jewell Boone.
Wayne always put God first in his life. He was a long-haul truck driver and loved traveling the country. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding four-wheelers with his children and was a lover of animals. Wayne was a good man, always willing to help anyone in need. He treasured his children and grandchildren and will always be loved and remembered.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Aaron Boone (Rachel) of Burnsville and Jason Leisner of California; two grandchildren: Travis and Zoey; a sister, Mary Dodson (Bruce) of Burnsville; special friend, Wesley Mead of Burnsville; all his animals, as well as many friends and close relatives.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
